These Terms of Use govern your use of the Karuzip software (“Karuzip” or the “software”). By downloading or using Karuzip, you agree to these Terms.

1. Fees

Karuzip is provided free of charge.

2. Disclaimer of warranties and liability

Karuzip is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. The operator does not warrant that the software will be complete, accurate, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, Karuzip. You use the software at your own risk.

You should create a backup before using Karuzip with important data.

3. Third-party software

Karuzip includes and uses unmodified 7-Zip 25.01 as one of its archive-processing engines. Most of 7-Zip is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License. Certain portions are subject to BSD licenses and unRAR license restrictions.

Karuzip also includes the unmodified unar and lsar 1.8.1 tools, licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 2.1 or later, and a Cocotron-derived Foundation component distributed under the MIT License. Other open-source libraries, including native codec libraries, are used under their respective licenses.

The English site uses Manrope and IBM Plex Mono under SIL OFL 1.1, with the full texts available at Manrope OFL and IBM Plex Mono OFL.

Because of the restrictions applicable to unRAR-derived code, Karuzip supports extracting RAR archives but does not provide a function for creating RAR archives.

Copyright notices, license texts, and information on obtaining corresponding source code for the bundled external archive engines are included with the software. Other open-source components remain subject to their respective license terms.

4. Prohibited uses

You must not use Karuzip for an unlawful purpose. You must not distribute a copy of Karuzip that has been altered to include malware or other harmful code.

5. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be revised without prior notice when necessary. The latest version will be published on the Karuzip website.
